If you live in Athens and want to host at home, that works too, and it is more common than people assume. Tidy the place. Put the dog somewhere else. Make sure the buzzer works, because standing on a street in Neos Kosmos at eleven at night pressing a broken bell is the single most common thing that ruins an arrival.

Keeping three conversations open at once. It works on an app, where nobody has committed anything and the cost of a dropped thread is zero, but here it means a coordinator has held a slot, checked a companion’s schedule, moved a driver and turned down another request, all on the strength of a message you sent while you were still deciding whether you actually wanted to go out tonight. Commit or say no. Both are easy.
